October opens the season with rare North American appearances and the debut collaboration of European early music phenomena, celebrated countertenor Andreas Scholl and young conductor Jean-Christophe Spinosi, performing some of Vivaldi’s and Handel’s finest works. World-wide, Scholl is billed as the preeminent countertenor today, acclaimed for his voice’s extraordinary color and tone as well as his virtuosity. In a program of sacred vocal works by Vivaldi, including that great declaration of faith, the Stabat Mater, Spinosi and Scholl make their Society debuts and continue the Handel and Haydn Society’s tribute to Handel in the 250th year of his death. Harry Christophers will join Scholl, Spinosi and Society audience members for an opening night reception following the performance.

Your post was very ignorant.

Let me go through it, and give you my opinion:

• There’s a good reason for all the complaining, after 5 revisions(it’s 5, right?), it’s still shit.
• I don’t use GEN at all, I maybe went up to one of the versions and said fuck this. Most of the people who try the new GEN, don’t use it either.
• I used M33 for the longest time, like most. I updated to 5.02GEN-A, and it was PERFECT. I find it funny that 5.50GEN-A was so much worse than 5.02GEN-A.
• They may be so quick to ‘fix bugs’, but they leave so many unfixed it’s not even funny. With each revision so far, it’s become more and more a piece of shit firmware.
• That’s nice and all that you’re grateful, but not too many of us our happy with what has turned out. If the firmware is shit, there is no reason for me to be thankful for them making it. I don’t care if they use their free time or not, if it’s not useful to the majority of those who are going to try it, the majority should not be grateful.
• Technically, Dark Alex didn’t ‘run out’, he never said he was done making firmware. He just said he had no current plans on doing so, and took down his website.
• I’ve never seen a number of complaints about M33 even coming close to the complaints about GEN.
